Woodland, Nr Ashburton - The Rising Sun
This
family run pub boasts a proprietor/chef who is passionate about the quality
and provenance of the local produce
used in his kitchens. The excellent food includes freshly caught fish
from Brixham trawlers. There are five bed and breakfast bedrooms, all
of which are en
suite. These include a family room, with a double bed and bunk beds
for three children, three double rooms, and one twin room.

Haytor Vale,
Dartmoor National Park - The Rock Inn
Situated just
below Haytor Rocks,
just inside the boundaries of the Dartmoor National Park, is the rural
village of Haytor
Vale, where you can find the Rock Inn. This family-owned country
inn has been offering hospitality, excellent food and comfortable
shelter since the mid-eighteenth
century. Nowadays the owners pride themselves on a creating a relaxed,
friendly atmosphere, with high standards of service. The restaurant
has a superb reputation, and is open to all, residents and
non-residents alike. All meals are prepared by the highly qualified
chefs who use freshly caught fish and local game, together with locally grown
produce. After a day exploring the amazing
countryside round this area, you can look forward to a peaceful
night in a relaxed environment in your comfortable
room. The bedrooms are all en-suite, with quality
furnishings and decor that respects the historical importance of the

Stoneycombe, Kingskerswell -The
Bickley Mill Inn
This delightful, family run free house is
located in Stoneycombe, South Devon, and it's a superb place in all
seasons. In the heat of summer, you can enjoy a drink in the gardens
or eat and drink outdoors. On a
cold winter's evening, you'll be welcomed into the rustic wood panelled interior,
complete with genuine wood beams
and a roaring log fire. The conversion of the old mill in 1971
created five excellent guest rooms, just right for overnight or
short stays. If you take too much ale, the comfortable rooms might
be the ideal place to sleep it off!
As for living history, well, Bickley Mill
was first mentioned in 1290 in Bishop Bronscombe's Register.

This establishment is

Cullompton - The Waterloo Cross
This inn is both charming and friendly,
and the eleven bedrooms provide excellent comfort in a relaxing

This substantial Grade 2 listed country house
